User Guide
Getting Started
To launch Photo Booth, simply locate its icon in your ryOS Applications menu or dock and click it. Once open, the app will automatically attempt to access your default webcam and display its feed.Key Actions
- Taking a Single Photo: To capture a single image, click the large red camera button located prominently in the application's interface.
- Capturing Quick Snaps: For a sequence of photos, click the timer button, typically positioned to the left of the main camera button. This will initiate a countdown and capture four photos one second apart.
- Applying Visual Effects: To explore and apply fun visual effects, look for an effects button (often represented by a palette or magic wand icon). Clicking this will reveal a selection of filters and distortions that you can apply in real-time to your webcam feed.
- Viewing Saved Photos: Click the photo stack button, usually located on the far left, to toggle the visibility of the photo strip at the bottom of the window. This strip displays all the photos you've taken during the current session.
- Downloading a Photo: Photos are automatically saved within the app. To download a specific photo to your ryOS file system, simply click on its thumbnail in the photo strip.
- Switching Cameras: If you have multiple webcams connected, you can switch between them using the camera selection option, typically found in a menu or as a dedicated button.

- The timed photo sequence is great for capturing movement or group shots where you need a moment to pose.
